COMICS.
I know it’s been a while since I posted, but the fact is I won’t have much to say while I’m mid-working on things I’ve already written about.
A little update anyway, I am 3-4 pages away from the end of Chapter 1. Things are moving a little slower than last week, but I’m hoping to speed up the final push. I can’t wait to put the new comics out there and get started on Chapter 2!
MUSIC.
I’ve been listening to a lot of ambient black metal lately and retreading the Wilderun and Aether Realm paths. Sticking mostly to what’s familiar unless it’s background music. I have a big list of new things to check out though, so hopefully I’ll get around to that soon.
Meanwhile my band and I have been writing some material. It’s very ‘hard rock’ at the moment, not as heavy as I’d like, but you have to compromise sometimes. Regardless, I’ll try my hand at writing some rougher stuff soon. I feel like we’re a few steps closer to gigging, but some shit needs to get sorted out first. The same shit.
I’ve been recording the last few practices and I think it’s really helped with working out structures for the new songs. We’ve made way more progress than we would have without the recordings. Thanks me. You’re welcome me.
FILM & TV.
Just finished up the second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events. I really enjoyed it, it was far better than the first season, and funnier too. I never thought they’d get around to adapting the later books into anything, so I’m really happy to see it all come together. It takes me back to when I was a kid in school, reading through the books as a class.

Also did another rewatch of The Expanse, mainly to introduce it to my housemate, who didn’t seem too captivated by it. Different strokes, I guess. But the third season starts in a couple of days, and I am fucking hyped. As a book-reader, even more so. That slow zone scene is gonna be absolutely spectacular.
Still chugging through Persepolis Rising in the meantime. The 30-year jump rattled me a bit but things are getting good.

And now we’re only 17 days away from Infinity War, and also my birthday! I’ll actually turn 25 years old about 5 minutes into the movie, which is fucking cool. Best birthday present ever, thanks Marvel. Been avoiding all the recent TV spots like the plague, making sure the surprise factor is as high as possible.
God damn.

Until next time.
SONG OF THE DAY.
