Comics, Festivals and Gratuitous Violence.

Hello friends.

Me again.

Got some small bits of news but this month has mainly been me drawing and knuckling down once more. Love when these moods hit.

COMIC.

We got some new Cold Reset in the hizzle! Can’t remember the last time I could say that… The first half is done and is gradually being auto-posted over the course of this week. Check it out here!

I’m currently taking a 10-minute break from working on the rest of the chapter so I can write this. But it’s this big montage sequence that will engulf 10-15 pages. It’s been the most fun part of the comic to draw so far, mainly due to how much it changes up in terms of scenery, outfits, hairstyles, etc. It means I’m not kinda stuck in the same scene drawing the characters in the same ways for ages.

I know how much I like to embellish with my dialogue… It makes scenes last for waaay longer than they [arguably] should. But that’s what you’re signing up for with me – the director’s fucking cut. Whether you like it or not. [ambiguous emoji here]

MUSIC.

I just came back from the Green Man festival up Brecon way. It was pretty chill. The music isn’t exactly my scene, but I got a free guest ticket and my friend’s band was playing one of the bigger stages. So it was well worth the trip. Especially the free part.

My own band has at least TWO potential gigs coming up soon. Although I’m a skeptical pessimistic paranoid piece of shit by now, after more than once occasion of a “sure thing” gig falling through for stupid reasons. Mainly just other people screwing up. You want something done right…

So we’ll see.

TV.

I just finished up watching The Boys on Prime. It’s so good! So funny! So gratuitous! I might check out the comic when I get some time.

Karl Urban is mesmerising in everything I see him in. He’s one of those chameleons who isn’t a chameleon. You get what I mean? Like, you know it’s him, but he’s like a totally different type of character in everything he’s in!

There’s probably a better word for that which I can’t think of right now. Enlighten me if you know it.
