CHAPTER ONE IS DONE.

COMICS.

I finally finished up work on the remaster of Chapter 1 of my comic series a few days ago. Exciting times. It’s taken me a lot of time and a fair amount of work – I ended up including much more detail than I first planned.

The first page has been uploaded today, and the rest will follow over the course of the month. Check it out!

I’m currently working on the cover art for Chapter 2, taking a break from the ol’ panel and dialogue system. I gotta do a few rewrites to the script, then work officially begiiiins!

BAND.

My band’s got like 6 original songs now, holy fuckballs. We’ve entirely polished one of them and we’re steadily getting there with the others. It’s pretty fun, and still a bit restrictive for me stylistically, but I’m proud of what I’ve been able to do with the material on the drum parts.

I’d like to say I’ll post something here, but nah. Maybe in the future when we actually have a good quality recording.

MUSIC.

Been spamming a band called Amorphis lately. Really getting into their stuff. Their new album, released a few weeks ago, is really pushing my buttons, and their backlog is equally great or better so far. Damn. I love when this happens.

Definitely song of the day material.

TV.

HOLY SHIT THOUGH. AMAZON #SAVEDTHEEXPANSE. THE EXPANSE. My favourite show and book series! You just can’t stop the work.

The latest episode was actually incredible. It’s so much like the book and it’s answering a ton of questions I’ve had since reading Abaddon’s Gate – such as ‘what does the Slow Zone look like?’ Next week’s episode is gonna be absolutely nuts.

One thing though:

Why the fuck did they scrap Bull?! My favourite character in Book 3. They seem to have merged him and Pa into Drummer’s character, which I guess makes sense for TV, but damn, he’s such a great character and his *SPOILER* death at the end is so meaningful and perfect.

It leads me to wonder – will Drummer die in the way Sam died in the book (seeing as they also merged their characters last season), shot in the head by Ashford? Or will Drummer die the way Bull died? Or will Drummer even die at all, considering the important part she plays in Persepolis Rising?

I’m glad the show will live long enough for us to find out. And I’m absolutely stoked I get to see Ilus come to life on TV next season. SEASON 4 GUYS. ILUS. RETURN OF HAVELOCK. BASIA’S REDEMPTION ARC.

And I have utter faith that a Season 5 will follow, and I finally get to see who the fuck they cast as Marco Inaros. The casting has been so spot-on for this show, I am absolutely positive they’ll choose the perfect actor – I just want to know who it is! Marco’s a babe.
