Hot diggity damn.

It’s been a while since I posted but man have I had a fun few weeks. Why? I’ll tell you why!

I recently bombed through all of Twin Peaks, from the beginning of the 1990 series to the end of the 2017 revival. And damn am I inspired and just in total awe of David Lynch.

I also have the biggest crush on Dale Cooper, he’s such a sweetheart.

I haven’t enjoyed something this much in a long time. But this post isn’t gonna be all about that show, I know how much I rant, so, other things!

COMIC.

Some progress has been made since the last post, but not a whole lot. I think I’ve hit the crash that I knew would come eventually. And also I have a lot less time to do stuff now because of work. I recently got asked to accept a promotion, which is a new one on me. I wasn’t gonna put myself forward for it but they came to me specifically and actually made me feel kinda wanted. I’m a sucker for that. Also, more money. Fun.

I’m nearing the end of the next segment of Circus pages and they’ve been a blast to work on so far. I’m also nearing the end of my script. So I’m gonna have to knuckle down and bang out some more writing before I can carry on with the next part.

No worries. I like my writing like I like my coffee… Wait.

What have I been listening to lately? Hmm. A mix of stuff. I’m still super into Amorphis. They really do it for me. I’ve been drifting around Seven Spires (crushing hard on Adrienne Cowan) and Skyfire too. And I’ve revisited some Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives. They’re super chill and their writing is the best kind of clever.

My band has some gigs lined up – our very first! We’ll see if all that pans out, but we need a logo and some artwork… where is that confounded artwork?!

Gonna be neat though. I’m getting a poncho and we’re designing this whole bizarre stage presence thing. More on that at some point, I guess.

TWIN PEAKS.

I’ve recently caught up with Season 4 of Better Call Saul too. I forgot how good it was. I’m glad Chuck‘s gone, what a burden he became. Grim way to go though.

Also watched a few episodes of Disenchantment and I find myself disenchanted with Groening‘s recent efforts. Bring back Futurama!

MOVIES.

Oh man I just watched the two National Treasure movies for the first time while doing some drawing. They’re so fun, I don’t get the hate. Anything with Nicholas Cage gets approval from me.

I also watched Mulholland Drive, cause TWIN PEAKS. I’ve been deeply affected by David Lynch‘s stuff and I need more of it forever.

That shit’s like caffeine.
